Ganawa is a comprehensive steel fabricator and supplier for projects involving structural and bridge steel. With a focus on railing systems and bridge expansion joints, the welder/fitter has to be certified in steel fabrication.
Welder’s Principal Tasks and Accountabilities:
- To finish welding procedures, adhere to and carefully read precise plans and schematics.
- Verify the welding setup (cut, drill, bevel, grind).
- Layout, place, align, and assemble the welding part.
- Preparing for Welding (Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt components)
- Use power tools to operate die grinders and grinding wheels.
- Check and evaluate work items for flaws with jigs and measurement tools.
- Self-driven and capable of working with little direction
- There are two types of work sites: mobile welders and shops.
Justifications:
- A welding diploma or certificate is advantageous.
- MIG Welding (3+ years minimum)
- A CWB Weld ticket is useful.
- Must be willing to put in extra time if needed
- Applicants need to finish the in-house welding exam (Weld 1/16 to).
- A current driving licence and a spotless driving record
Pay: $24.04 to $27.00 per hour
Bonus: At the employer’s discretion, a potential yearly bonus of up to 15% of gross pay
