Specific duties and responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Participate in the design, planning and implementation of new or changing systems.
- Define and evaluate integration strategies and architecture enhancements to meet mission objectives Help develop detailed technical plans to guide growth and integration activities
- Share knowledge and knowledge through effective documenting
- Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the assigned support sectors including technologies and internal processes
- Ensure that COX / KBB engineering standards are being followed
- Conduct requirement analysis and capacity planning
- Manually manage and service requests while using ITIL concepts around change, event and problem management
- Take quick and effective answers on production issues and take responsibility for seeing those issues through solution
- Owns excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Keep leadership skills and effectively collaborate and communicate with immediate team members and Cox / KBB business contacts at all levels.
- The ability to work with minimal or no supervision on many concurrent complex projects and coordinate the work of others in this environment.
- Tools, logic and other appropriate resources are used to make decisions
- Develop technical plans and road maps for the migration of the system and the development / analysis of recommendations for upgradation and promotion of existing IT infrastructure.
- Find new training initiatives and alternative ways to stay current on new techniques and methods
- Participating in on-call rotation of 24×7 support and flexible in availability as needed
- Ability to travel ~ 10%
Eligibility
- Developmental experience with PowerShell (and has Python Plus)
- Experience with lift and pipe migration and new implementation (AWS required) with IaaS and PaaS solutions on public cloud platforms
- Experience with Private Cloud Virtualization Technologies (VMware)
- Excellent infrastructure technical platforms on platforms (heavy Windows experience required, Linux Plus), storage and networking
- Support for large scale and multi-level web sites / services in geographically scattered locations that emphasize Microsoft Technologies (IIS, .NET, MSSQL) and distributed caches
- Experience-development and retention of code and configuration management (Teraform, AWS CloudFood, Enabled and Microsoft DSC Plus)
- Plus work knowledge: Apache, database platform (Dynamo, MySQL), Octopus, Jenkins, DevOops and CI / CD type concepts
- Function Knowledge of Infrastructure and Application Monitoring and Lodging (Splal, EpidemiMix, New Rick, CloudWatch A Plus)
- Current AWS, Microsoft or related certification is plus
- Bachelor degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent industry experience
