To join our housekeeping crew, we are seeking a supervisor with expertise who can work directly with the cleaners. We are a 164-room hotel in Canmore, Alberta, with a restaurant and meeting centre. Although our ideal applicant has prior experience as a supervisor of cleaning and as a room attendant, we nonetheless provide comprehensive training. Our company has capacity for expansion, and we’re excited to add the right person to our team.
Housekeeping Supervisor
Objective:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- guiding, educating, and supporting department ambassadors in all housekeeping responsibilities and procedures.
- To assign rooms to room attendants on a daily basis in a fair and equitable manner
- To recognise, put into practice, and uphold the standards, processes, and guidelines that promote continuous improvement in the quality of service and cleanliness. Including checking in with staff members to make sure standards and procedures are being followed and upheld.
- to assume leadership responsibilities in the department in the absence of the Rooms Division Manager or the Housekeeping Manager.
- to look into concerns and respond very away to any shortcomings in cleaning services.
- actively contributes, mentors, and guides ambassadors in enhancing the standard of cleanliness in public spaces and guest rooms.
- Make sure that before leaving, all housekeepers and room attendants do their necessary tasks.
- Help with any sick calls or tardiness by locating appropriate coverage and remaining until coverage is obtained.
- evaluates employee performance and offers feedback for development.
- Must be proactive and show initiative in order to maintain exceptional hotel cleanliness and address any defects or inadequacies as soon as they are noticed.
- Examine the space thoroughly for flaws, then report them via the proper channels so they may be fixed.
- Participate actively in the overseas hotel recycling program, making sure housekeepers and room attendants separate recyclables into the proper containers.
- Oversee the lost and found program, which includes item receipt, logging, guest follow-up, and item shipping to guests.
- ensuring that every housekeeping area—including the office, closets, and rubbish area—is generally clean and organised.
Education & Qualifications:
- Mandatory Housekeeping & Supervisory experience
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities to raise service standards all over the business Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- well-organised and with strong time management abilities
- Adaptable, self-starting, and a team player who can work alone when needed. Resourceful and innovative, having the capacity to perform effectively under pressure and in shifting circumstances.
Salary:
- Starting pay is $20.50 per hour, with a summer bonus.
- Regular salary increases (depending on performance, after six months and one year)
