Technical Service Engineer: Fly Dubai Careers | Flydubai jobs
The role should provide the airline with specialized technical expertise for its ongoing activities in the field of airworthiness and engineering services on its Boeing 737 fleet equipped with CFM-56-7B, Leb-1B and 131-9b engines (power plants). In addition, the role should be to support the company’s requirements regarding engine service agreements and leasing obligations with various OEMs and partners.
Main Responsibilities
Main activities
- Process and validate Continuing Airworthiness and engineering tasks including health and performance monitoring of power plants
- Support the airline’s cooperation with relevant OEMs to analyze defects to drive product reliability and improve performance
- Detailed evaluation and recommendations of all instructions for continued airworthiness including full implementation of the company’s campaign programs for its power plants
- Representing the airline during industry technical review meetings, working together with the team and conferences
- Assess in-service issues surrounding the operated power plants and provide commercially viable technical solutions according to flydubai reliability programme management team
- Develop and strengthen the engine maintenance program and internal procedures based on the company’s policy, current agreements and goals
- Optimize the approved aircraft maintenance program in accordance with the relevant OEM instructions and fleet experience while ensuring that the power plants are maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner
- Provides technical support and solutions in troubleshooting the required power plants during service outages
- Maintain a complete industry standard engine life database including operational, modification and airworthiness information
- Support investigations for engineering safety and airworthiness reports and propose possible actions to ensure a high level of safety standards is met at flydubai
- Prepare engine engine removal planning to optimize time on the wing in connection with maintenance and leasing agreements
- Review the scopes of work necessary for the introduction of engines in Maintenance Repair Organizations including replacement of custom parts, repair deviations and concessions
- Liaise with aircraft and engine owners for the necessary transactions needed during the lease period and the life cycle of power plants including technical acceptance of new leases
- Provide assistance in preparing short-term and long-term store visit budget forecasts for internal stakeholders
- Serves as a focal point for the flydubai team in day-to-day technical services activities
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications / experience / knowledge / skills
Minimum qualification
* Secondary education + (degree in engineering) or (EASA B1)or (vocational training time)
Experience
* At least 5 years previous experience in commercial aviation power plant engineering
* Knowledge of CFM-56 and operation of jump engines in harsh environment is an advantage
Knowledge / skills
* Knowledge of ISA / FAA / General Authority of Civil Aviation airworthiness regulations
* Use of IT systems including OEM tools to diagnose engine health
* Amos system knowledge software feature
* Demonstrable experience in managing an engine shop visit
* Experience in handling engine operations throughout its life cycle

ISR requirements
Reads and complies with the company’s Acer policies and diligently reports any vulnerabilities or incidents to the relevant line manager or information security team.
