Employment and Social Development Canada, through its Canadian Service Processing Centres, evaluates applications from employers seeking permission to hire temporary foreign workers and conducts labour market impact assessments to determine the potential impact of such workers on the Canadian labour market. The program evaluates the impact by looking at available labor market information for the region and occupation, recruitment and advertising efforts of employers, wages and working conditions, labor shortages and the transfer of skills and knowledge to Canadians. The centre works closely with the Centre, the Canada Border Agency, and the provinces and territories, through appropriate information exchange agreements, to monitor and share information that has an impact on the integrity of the work funding program. The program is led by Eric. The Canada Service conducts inspections of the work financing program. In Quebec, the program is run in partnership with the province.
